I thought this review lacked vibe and made the presentation boring. What you saw was one of the most beautiful town in Italy and the coastline is unbelievable. Instead of taking the bus consider walking from Santa Margherita to Portofino. 40 minutes of heaven. The presentation was so blah!!! Not good in my view!

Very instructive video. I 💯agree about a backpack in Mexico or anywhere really. But I am trying to lighten my pack when I go to Mexico, partly to save room for art I buy. The way I have been doing this lately is being intentional about doing laundry. On a recent trip I spent three days in Queretaro, then six days in Guanajuato taking Spanish in the morning. After five days I took clothes to rhe lavanderia, I picked them up and went to CDMX to meet a friend for five days. Our Airbnb had laundry access so before leaving for Taxco and Cuernavaca for the last three days, I did laundry again. I packed way less stuff than I tended to do for a longer visit.

We have lived in Todos Santos, San Miguel twice, Guadalajara and Ajijic so far. Only Ajijic is temperate. Right now in SMA it is over 37C in the afternoon and cools to 18 - 20 at night. Todos Santos is not much different and Guadalajara is awful. Yes, the hot time is shorter in these places however, when it gets hot, it is horrid. It is drier in all those places. Safety is relative to what you do, who to associate with, and how you conduct yourself and that is true worldwide. Speak the language and integrate. Be kind. We have had no challenges at all.

And the name Al Kasar is an Arabic name that means : The palace Also the bridge in Cordoba was build by Muslims not the Roman's. Why are you giving wrong information!! I would vote for staying in Santa Margherita(Hotel Internazionale)...much more cvilized...I was in Portofino in late March...not impressed, regardless of it being shoulder season. SM is much more real once you're away from the more touristy areas. A beautiful area to visit, and the walk to Portofino is a good one.
